Parish Life
Spring Gatherings
Tuesday at the Table
One Table. Many Stories.
We’re reclaiming a simple parish rhythm this spring: Tuesdays at the Table - an evening of shared food, conversation, and connection.
This is for busy people (isn’t that all of us?) so there’s no expectation of ongoing commitment. Come once or come often - whatever fits your life. The point is not another program. The point is belonging: widening the circle so friendships and faith grow deeper.
Most nights will follow a simple pattern: dinner + something meaningful (a movie, a hymn sing, a program, etc.)
Upcoming Gatherings
Tuesday, March 24 — Dinner & a Movie: Beyond
In partnership with Hudson Link, we’ll share a meal and watch a powerful documentary set inside Sing Sing Correctional Facility - and then talk together about dignity, redemption, and hope.
Tuesday, May 5 — Mexican Food & a Hymn Sing
Good food, beloved hymns, and the kind of table fellowship that reminds us church can be joyful, simple, and real.
Families are welcome
Kids are welcome. (Childcare details and RSVP links are posted with each gathering.)
Pull up a chair. We’ll save you a place.

Theology in the Theater District
Big Questions. Bright Lights.
What if an afternoon in the city could be more than entertainment - what if it could be formation?
Theology in the Theater District is a new rhythm at Christ’s Church: we see a great show together, share a meal afterward, and then have the kind of conversation we long for - honest, curious, and rooted in faith. We look for God’s presence in unexpected places: in a lyric, a scene, a moment of courage, a hard truth, a surprising tenderness.
This isn’t “church, but at a theater.” It’s a way of practicing resurrection vision and learning to notice grace in the world God loves.
Upcoming outings
Sunday, March 8 at 2:00 pm — Maybe Happy Ending
A tender, hope-filled story that raises big questions about love, memory, and what it means to be truly human. Winner of 6 Tony Awards and starring Glee’s Darren Criss. Tickets are $150 for center rear orchestra.
Sunday, May 17 at 3:00 pm — Ragtime
A sweeping American story of longing, justice, and the costly work of becoming one people. Variety says Ragtime is “A THRILLING, TIMELY, GLORIOUS panorama of changing times. IT REVERBERATES WITH PASSION." Tickets are $100 for seats near the rear balcony. Reserve your seats now. (I’ve asked Jannine to create a separate form for Ragtime this week.
