2025 New Vestry Bios

Jim Anderson joined Christ’s Church Rye in 2021 after his family had worshipped for more than a decade at All Saints' in Harrison. Jim was a member of the Vestry and the choir and also served as senior warden while at All Saints'. While at Christ’s Church, Jim has sung with the choir and served on the stewardship committee.

Jim was born in Ohio and raised mostly in Northern Westchester. After college he worked for a number of years in corporate, financial and marketing communications in New York City before heading to law school. Now in private practice with a White Plains-based firm, he is principally a real estate and corporate/commercial litigator. Jim is a trustee of the Harrison Public Library and a member of the board of the Harrison Children's Center.

Jim and his wife, Eileen Simon, moved to Harrison in 2001 and have raised their perfect and perfectly lovely daughter, Rebecca, there. Rebecca is a college senior.

Anne Bradner is a lifelong Episcopalian and relatively new member of Christ’s Church Rye. She grew up at Christ Church Winnetka (IL) where she was a faithful member of the Girl’s Choir, joined the Bell Choir, and explored liturgical dance opportunities. She was an active participant at All Saints Harrison for 20 years where she served on the Vestry, taught Sunday School, co-led Confirmation classes, and more.

Anne enjoys her career in nonprofit management and currently services as Chief Executive Officer of Port Chester Carver Center. She is the proud parent, along with Steven Gates (1958-2012), of two young adults: Brian (28) and Connor (25) Gates. A graduate of Smith College, she serves on the Board of the Greenwich-Stamford Smith Club; is a member of the Rye YMCA; and is an avid attendee of cultural events (dance, theater, and museums of all flavors).

Rene Emily DuBose is a graduate of Barat College, Lake Forest, Illinois (Class of 1979), earning a B.A. in History and Secondary Education. She furthered her education with a Master of Arts in Counseling and Human Resources from the University of Bridgeport in 1995.

Having grown up around the world, Rene lived in Taichung, Taiwan; Hanau, Germany; and Hoensbroek, the Netherlands—completing her high school education in Holland. Her international upbringing has enriched her perspective both personally and professionally.

Rene has built a distinguished career in human resources, specializing in leadership development and behavioral event interviewing. Among the many companies she has worked for or consulted with are IBM, Columbia Pictures, and Disney.

A devoted member of Christ’s Church since 1988, her family’s deep ties to the congregation are evident—her parents rest in the church’s columbarium, her mother served on the Altar Guild for over 20 years, and several family milestones, including her own wedding, have been celebrated at Christ’s Church.
