For a strong foundation: $1,120,000 So
that our church remains safe and dry, we will make repairs to the roofing,
flashing and gutters. Masonry and stonework will be reset and secured and the
Post Road retaining wall and the flagstone sidewalks will be repaired. Inside,
we will repair water damage in the church, parish hall and kitchen as we improve
fire detection and alarm systems. For the exterior of the church, we will repair
and paint doors, woodwork and steel windows. By improving drainage systems
around the perimeter of the buildings, we will protect our lower floors and
foundations from deterioration and hazardous molds. For increased efficiency: $250,000 So
that we may increase the energy efficiency of our facilities, we will repair and
upgrade the electrical and heating systems and the windows. Ceiling fans for
improved circulation and ventilation will be installed and we will reduce the
solar glare and heat gain on the south side of the education wing, providing a
comfortable interior environment throughout the year. For a warm welcome: $830,000 So
that our welcome is as effective as it is warm, we will repair existing ramps
and hand rails, install a handicapped-accessible bathroom and provide wheelchair
access from the church to the parish hall. The parish hall kitchen will be
renovated, with new cabinets and appliances; existing bathrooms will be
upgraded. Improvements will be made to the interior lighting and audio/visual
systems; the telephone system will be updated to allow for the emergency paging
of clergy and improved message capability. The parking lot will be repaired and
we will install exterior signs and lighting. For the future: $500,000 As our parish grows, so do our needs – for more worship services, outreach and ministry and educational programming. Should we meet our challenge goal, we will increase our parish endowment to allow us to obtain the additional staff assistance and pastoral care we need.
