Welcome to Christ’s Church

It is a joy to welcome you to Christ’s Church! We are an open, family-friendly parish with vibrant worship, a lively Sunday school and meaningful outreach. We offer contemporary as well as traditional services each week and our pews are filled with people in every stage of life, from newborns to ninety-year-olds. We cherish that breadth of age and experience as we worship, learn and grow together in our life of faith. Regardless of your religious or cultural background, ethnic or gender identity, marital status or sexual orientation, we hope you will find a spiritual home here.

The precise beliefs and practices of Episcopalians can be a puzzle to those raised in other religious traditions--and even sometimes to Episcopalians themselves! We are not fully Protestant, but at the same time, neither are we Roman Catholic. We offer no unquestioning obedience to a central authority. Instead, we discuss doctrine, ask a lot of questions, and often agree to disagree, all in an effort to follow Jesus. The common understanding of Episcopal identity is that “praying shapes believing.” How we pray together informs how we articulate our faith.

Our regular pattern of worship centers on the Eucharist, or Holy Communion. We offer three regular services each weekend: a contemporary, informal 5 pm service on Saturday; a traditional, spoken Eucharist at 8 am Sunday morning; and our primary choral service at 10 am.

If you are interested in learning more about Christ’s Church, please come to any of our services and fill out a welcome card or speak to an usher or member of the clergy.
