The
Veterans' Home we visit in Montrose NY is really called the FDR
Veterans Hospital?
It was opened in 1950 on the 210 acre site of the Stats
Morris
Dyckman estate. In the gardens one can find bronze busts of
veterans who served in all US wars. The busts were sculpted
by a
resident of the hospital.

Dinners @
Noon
has been running continuously with the same dedicated leadership for
our church since 1987. And in its twentieth year, the program
now
serves an average of 60 people per lunch. That brings our
total
so far to about 32,000 meals served on over 800 occasions.
WOW!

The
children of the Christ's Church
Nursery School
bring canned food to each of their monthly chapel services.
Parent helpers then deliver the food to the food pantry at the Carver
Center. The children also bring baby clothes for
the Open Door Health Center, and
gather gifts for St. Peter's Port
Chester children at Christmas time.
